Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Signing Ceremony for the Chula Leaders for Global Operations (Chula LGO) Dual-Degree Program: Master of Science in Integrated Engineering for Sustainability (IES) & Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Collaboration with Industry Partners.

On 13 November 2025, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) of the Chula Leaders for Global Operations (Chula LGO) dual-degree program was signed in the Yulania Room of the Waldorf Astoria Bangkok by Chulalongkorn University and the industry partners. The ceremony was presided over by Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University, alongside senior executives from five partner organizations representing various sectors of industry.

This MOU signifies a collaborative effort involving the Faculty of Engineering, the Chulalongkorn Business School, and MIT Leaders for Global Operations (MIT LGO), with essential support from Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited.

Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University, extended his congratulations and recognized the dedication of Mr. Chartsiri Sophonpanich, President of Bangkok Bank PCL, in supporting the establishment of this dual-degree initiative.

Associate Professor Dr. Witaya Wannasuphoprasit, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, along with Associate Professor Dr. Tartat Mokkhamakkul, Dean of the Chulalongkorn Business School, welcomed the attendees and emphasized the objectives and significance of the dual-degree program’s development.

During the ceremony, Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat signed the MOU with the partner industry leaders, including Mr. Chartsiri Sophonpanich, President of Bangkok Bank PCL, Mr. Thammasak Sethaudom, President of Siam Cement Group (SCG) PCL, Mr. Aloke Lohia, CEO of Indorama Ventures PCL, Mr. Sigve Brekke, Group CEO of True Corporation PCL, and Mr. Sundaram Iyer, Head of Banpu Academy, Banpu PCL.

Dr. Joshua S. Jacobs, representing MIT, conveyed his congratulations to the partners and reaffirmed MIT’s commitment to collaboratively developing this international program to ensure it is strong, impactful, and sustainable.
